The vision of a winning season keeps on for the Dallas Center-Grimes boys’ soccer team as they matched their rank with their eighth straight win with a 5-0 victory over Pella Christian Tuesday night.
The win now provides the Mustangs with eight shutout wins within their ten total victories so far this season.
All five Mustang goals came courtesy of five different players. Garrett Belzer picked up his fifth goal of the season while junior Nate Friesen knocked in his sixth of the season. Kiley Tucker and Noah Webster recorded their tenth and eighth goals of the season respectively while Nolan Grimes rounded out the scoring with his second goal of 2018.
The Mustangs now yield a record of 10-2 after a 1-2 mark to start the season. Looking at the next slate of four games, the Mustangs’ next match up takes place at home in Grimes against former conference foe Winterset. Their second game on May 11 will take place on the road at Frerichs Field in Urbandale with a 7 p.m. start time. The final two games of the regular season will keep the Mustangs in the friendly confines of DC-G Stadium with a conference contest against Pella on Tuesday, May 15 and a non conference match up against Perry on Friday, May 18.
