Adel-DeSoto-Minburn boys’ soccer finished its regular season with a win over Carlisle on Monday, May 16. The Tigers scored four goals and shut out the visiting Carlisle squad.

It was senior night for A-D-M, and seniors were responsible for all four scores in the matchup at Island Park.

The first goal was scored by Nathan Ladehoff. It was the only scoring play of the first half.

John Maher found the back of the net early in the second half to extend A-D-M’s lead to 2-0.

The final two goals came from what A-D-M coach Bill Shields called "well flighted Daniel Finnegan corners."

According to Shields, "Bryce Godwin leaped high above the defenders to head the third goal, and Noah Bardwell did likewise a minute later."

Junior Drew Gordon picked up four saves in the victory.

The Tigers’ recorded improved to 14-4 to round out the regular season. Substate action for A-D-M starts Monday, May 23 against Prairie City-Monroe. The match will take place at A-D-M High School’s lower practice field.
