It has been a busy and successful week for Adel-DeSoto-Minburn boys’ soccer. The Tigers have won four straight games following their loss to Dallas Center-Grimes on April 25.

On Thursday, April 28, A-D-M traveled to Newton and came away with a 1-0 victory. The lone goal came from sophomore Davis Barton. Noah Bardwell provided the assist.

The Tigers kept their forward momentum going with a pair of road wins on Saturday. Against Pella, A-D-M won by a score of 3-1.

Senior Grant Gordon picked up two goals in the victory. Matthew Dobrzynski also scored in the weekend matchup. John Maher helped with two assists, and Bardwell also added an assist.

In their second Saturday contest, the Tigers defeated Clear Creek-Amana, 2-0. Barton picked up another score, and Daniel Finnegan dished out an assist.

Most recently, A-D-M went up against Nevada in Adel. The Tigers won the Monday game, 3-2. After getting down 2-0, A-D-M responded with a comeback.

Bardwell scored all three of the home team’s goals. Assists were provided by Finnegan, Gordon and Herberto Ponce.

Coming up on Thursday, May5, A-D-M will take on Winterset at home. Winterset has only one loss and is ranked ninth in class 2A. No. 7 A-D-M will have its hands full as it tries to improve its record to 14-2 in 2016.
