The City of Waukee recently created a series of development maps, showcasing the business corridors and business parks ready for development in the city. The easy-to-use maps allow developers and investors to obtain quick information on each of the six designated corridors and business parks and are available for viewing or downloading on the city website. The maps will be an important economic development tool for the city to retain, grow and attract investment.
"Waukee is getting a lot of attention right now for investment in our Kettlestone Corridor," said Community and Economic Development Director, Dan Dutcher. "We want to show potential investors all of the development options within the city as a whole. These maps help to frame our long-term economic development goals as a city."
Each downloadable map features a different business corridor in Waukee, including Westgate Business Park, Business Park on I-80, Hickman Road Corridor, Hickman Road West Business Park, Kettlestone North Corridor and Kettlestone South Corridor.
"The maps show more than just the corridor locations," said Dutcher. "They detail acres available, infrastructure in place, zoning or land use, traffic counts and more. We want the maps to give developers a high-level look at what the city has to offer."
