From the first time she picked up a club, the Waukee standout golfer named Brooke Boardman is officially making a name for herself once again on the national scene.

Her most recent national stint came just this week as the soon to be high school senior competed in round one of the 2018 USGA Women’s Armature Championship at The Golf Club of Tennessee in Kingston Springs, Tennessee. Yesterday marked the end of round one where Boardman herself finished tied for 116th with a score of seven-over par 77. On one of the most challenging courses around, Boardman carded four bogies and one double bogey but did enter in 13 pars.

The event is a two round tournament with the second leg finishing up today.
