On a sunny yet soggy day, the Dallas Center-Grimes boys’ golf team was swinging away at the Bos Laden Golf Course Monday afternoon.
There were 11 teams in attendance for the 18 hole tournament, and for the Mustangs, they walked away with a team score of 365 and a fourth place finish.
Spearheading the efforts once again for the Mustangs was Nick Towne who paced Dallas Center-Grimes for the first time with a score of 88. Derek Shanno followed Towne’s footsteps finishing with an 18 hole score of 89 though a five par day.
Tate Calease took third on the team using four pars within his first nine holes to put up a score of 90 for the day. Calease was followed up with Darren Werth who would round out the Mustang scorecard with a round of 98.
