Late last week the 11th ranked Dallas Center-Grimes girls’ soccer team found out that their postseason path starts at home.


Late last Friday the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union released regional pairings for each class and with regards to DC-G, the Fillies reside as the second seed in Class 2A’s region three.


DC-G will be one of six teams in region three including Collins-Maxwell, Perry, Ballard, Boone, and the regions top seed in A-D-M/Van Meter. The Fillies, who recently dropped two games this past weekend, sits with a current record of 7-5. With being named a second seed, the Fillies have earned a first round bye and will see postseason play beginning on Tuesday, May 29 in Grimes. They will be playing the winner of Ballard and Boone.


If the Fillies win their match up, they will then face off in the region three championship game in Adel on Monday, June 4 at 6 p.m.


Until then the Fillies will aim to increase that win total with games on Tuesday, May 15 in Pella and a season finale at home on Tuesday, May 22 against Norwalk.
